- Welcome to bBaseIII - the EASY database.
-
- This version has what users have requested most - more fields.
- bBaseIII now has 16 Data fields available, plus 8 rows of Note data.
- There are also many other improvements, read the Revision History for
- more information. The ease of use has been maintained.
-
- It has been suggested that prospective users might be scared off by
- the sheer size of the "doc" file. But, as the number of features in
- bBaseIII has grown, the size became necessary to describe them all.
-
- In actual fact, the program is quite intuitive. Users of bBaseII will
- feel right at home, but for those who don't like long-winded
- documentation, just click on the program icon, load one of the sample
- databases, and play with it for awhile. I'm sure that you will be
- comfortable with it very quickly.
-
- This Demo version has all of the features of the Registered version,
- except that it will not Load databases of more than 600 records, nor
- Save databases of more than 30 records.
-
- Those who register will get two versions of bBaseIII; a 600 record
- version designed for those with 1 Megabyte of memory, and a 1250
- record version for those with more than 1 Megabyte. Both have exactly
- the same features, except for the size capability.
-
- If you have databases that were created under bBaseII, and you want
- to try them with bBaseIII, (and I hope you will), just run the Convert
- program, select your database, and they will be converted into a
- format that is compatible with bBaseIII. You can then try all of
- the new features of bBaseIII. Databases created with previous versions
- of bBaseIII will run fine on Version 3.
-
- The file "bBase.guide" is identical to the file "bBase.doc", except it
- is in hypertext format.
-
- Hope you like the program.
